Dr. Rachel ALFANO

I earned my Doctorate of Chiropractic in 2015 from New York Chiropractic College, now known as Northeast College of Health Sciences. During my education, I trained in a variety of techniques including Diversified manual adjusting, Activator Methods (instrument-assisted adjusting), Nimmo Receptor-Tonus Technique, and ConnecTx soft tissue therapy.

What do you do at Life Care?

I’m one of the treating doctors here! As a chiropractor, my approach to care primarily involves manual therapy and Diversified adjusting techniques to restore movement, reduce pain, and support overall wellness.

While I enjoy working with patients of all ages, I have a special passion for caring for infants, children, and pregnant women. Supporting families through all stages of life is one of the most rewarding parts of my job.

What do you love about your job?

I love being able to help people. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing someone go from struggling to even get on the table to confidently getting back to the activities they love.

What is a fun fact about yourself?

I started dancing at the age of 3 and was even a dance teacher before I went to chiropractic school.

What would you say your superpower is?

Being a mom to my two beautiful children, Cole and Monroe, is definitely my superpower. They’ve taught me how to multitask like a pro, stay calm under pressure, and find joy in the little things every day.

What words of wisdom, out of your own experience, would you like to share with the world in general or with the patients?

Healing, like life, has its ups and downs. My advice? Don’t wait for everything to be perfect—remember to dance in the rain, celebrate the little wins, and keep showing up for yourself.
