Clean Living: An Important Truth You Need to Know

Are you concerned about clean living? To many people, clean living is about staying mindful – mindful of what you put in and on your body.

When choosing what to eat and drink as well as what products to use, you may consider the number of calories, how processed things are and whether there is a lot of sugar or other refined carbohydrates.

However, one very important issue to consider when thinking about eating and drinking healthfully and choosing products is the issue of endocrine disruptors.

Why Chiropractic Care during Pregnancy is Important

It might not seem obvious, but there are many benefits of chiropractic care during pregnancy. Even if you’ve never seen a chiropractor before, pregnancy may be a good time to start.

As a chiropractor, I’m trained to work with women who are pregnant and adjust my techniques to their changing bodies and individual needs. My goal is to help and support your body without putting pressure on your abdomen. I even have a special table that allows mothers lay face down. Since I regularly provide chiropractic care to pregnant woman, I understand what is safe and helpful as your body changes. Local obstetricians regularly refer their pregnant patients to me.

10 Wonderful Ways Yoga Improves Your Health

Have you noticed how good you feel after practicing yoga? Your whole body and mind are completely relaxed. Not only does it make you feel good, but there are many health benefits of yoga.

I love yoga because it’s all about living – and practicing – your best life. It’s a total mind-body workout that combines strengthening and stretching with deep breathing and meditation. So it’s an effective way to stay healthy and happy – every day.

Did you know yoga has been around for more than 5,000 years and there are more than 100 different forms? Some are face-paced and intense. Others are gentle and relaxing. There’s a good reason that more than 20 million Americans practice yoga.

If you’re new to yoga, I encourage you to start slowly and build. I think you’ll be amazed at the effects regular practice will have on your body and mind.

If you practice regularly, you’ve probably noticed the many health benefits of yoga, including sleeping better, getting fewer colds and just feeling more relaxed and less stressed.

How to Forgive and Accept to Live Your Best Life

“Forgiveness is giving up the hope that the past could have been any different, it’s accepting the past for what it was, and using this moment and this time to help yourself move forward.” – Oprah Winfrey

Accept what is

I have always loved that quote.

I think there is something so true about acceptance being a huge part of forgiveness. It means that you can see the past experience truthfully and authentically. You can see the good, the bad, the ways in which you may have been an innocent victim, and the ways in which you may have contributed to the situation.

Eventually, you can see the ways that you have grown, learned or expanded your emotional intelligence through the experience. You might also see where you may need to have better boundaries or make different choices for the future.

The Importance of Chiropractic for Stress Relief

In a world where people die every day from side effects and complications of drugs and surgery, it’s refreshing that there’s a natural and effective way to treat pain. It is called chiropractic.

Chiropractic is a healthcare profession that focuses on disorders of the musculoskeletal and nervous system. Doctors of chiropractic, or chiropractors, practice a drug-free, hands-on approach to treat anything from headaches to neck and back pain to pinched nerves to fibromyalgia.

Here’s what you need to know about chiropractic:

How to Create Meaningful Change with Positive Affirmations

How many times have you heard quotes like “You are what you think” or “What you think you become”? We even have a sign hanging in our office that says: “The happiness of your life depends on the quality of your thoughts.”

I remember in chiropractic school, I came across a book by Louise Hay, called You Can Heal Your Life. It was full of positive affirmations that I loved reading. However, I was still full of negative self-talk in my normal life. I was always a positive person in the world, but I really had a talent for beating myself up in every way.

positive affirmationsThe practice of transforming your thoughts

It wasn’t until I really started practicing yoga and meditation, that I began to understand and feel that by transforming your thoughts, you can transform your life. I still love that book. It got me thinking about transforming thoughts into a more positive outlook.
